It's April of 1986. Pripyat, Ukraine. A core meltdown occurred at Reactor 4 of the Chernobyl Power Plant. Over thirty people died during the blast but the estimated death toll as a result of the radiation fallout will reach a four-digit number. This accident will be considered the world’s largest ecological disaster. Set at ground zero of a catastrophe, this film will reveal the details of the Chernobyl event. The shocking news of the explosion at the nuclear plant has spread, as the world watched the tragedy in fear and confusion. Hearts went out to those who displayed selfless courage and integrity in the initial efforts to stabilize the reactor power. But some were too busy being in love to notice what had just happened in nearby Chernobyl. The disaster has faded into the background... This is an account of love and loss, bravery and supernatural stoicism in the face of unbeatable odds.

When successful businesswoman Katya's daughter tries to commit suicide, she becomes an economics teacher in order to be closer to her daughter and understand what the kids are up to at school. At the same time, Alex, a new English teacher, former lawyer, son of the principal, and newly engaged, also comes to the school. The secret service conducts demolition work in the area of magnetic anomalies. Purely by accident, it turns out that three men are located in the explosion area: Vladimir Golenko, a criminal, Oleg Malinin, a photographer, and Benedict Tartakovsky, a failed writer. As a result of the explosion, a strange connection begins between those three: a photographer Malinin can read the criminal Golengo’s mind, even see the world around him with the criminal’s eyes, and the writer Tartakovsky can entirely control Golenko’s actions and communicate with Malinin remotely. Tartakovsky, having Golenko come into his full possession, decides to use him to revenge everybody who had ever stood on his way before.

A wealthy and influential family hires Katya as a nurse for a dying father. Most unexpectedly, the young woman becomes his closest confidant and the only person in his life whom he can trust. Passions run high around Katya as a huge inheritance is at stake. From a modest nurse, whose only task was to care for the sick in the last days of his life, Katya involuntarily turns into an active participant of the family drama with all its hopes, fights and disillusions. It turns out that the seemingly happy and tight-knit family has its skeletons in the closet, and these secrets can come at a price of a human life.
